Role Summary
We are seeking a licensed, compassionate Part‑Time Pharmacist to join our team. You will be responsible for accurate dispensing, clinical checks, patient counselling, and supervising pharmacy assistants. The ideal candidate will deliver excellent customer service while maintaining regulatory compliance and supporting pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescription medications and verify prescriptions for appropriateness and interactions

  • Provide patient counselling on medication use, side effects, storage, and adherence

  • Conduct medication reviews and immunization services as authorized by provincial scope of practice

  • Supervise and mentor pharmacy assistants and students; ensure proper documentation and record keeping

  • Maintain controlled substance records and follow narcotics/controlled drugs regulations

  • Manage inventory, stock ordering, returns, and expiry monitoring

  • Resolve medication enquiries and collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals

  • Ensure pharmacy complies with provincial pharmacy regulations, policies and standards

  • Participate in health promotion and patient education initiatives

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited program

  • Current licence in good standing with the provincial College of Pharmacists

  • Immunization certification and injection authorization (where applicable) preferred

  • Minimum 1 year community pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates welcome to apply

  • Strong knowledge of drug interactions, dosing, and provincial formulary processes

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong attention to detail, organization and ability to work independently and in a team

  • Experience with pharmacy management software an asset
